THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED CHOW Noodle House Restaurant Review:

The third entry in San Diego restaurateur Alex Thao’s trendy pan-Asian restaurant roster serves noodle and rice dishes from Vietnam, Thailand, China and Japan. It is much more casual and affordable than Thao’s other outposts, but it does not lack his stylish imprint. Choose from yakisoba, pad thai, chow mein, ramen and udon. Add tofu, chicken, pork or seafood. The choices are vast and include a variety of complementary salads and hot appetizers. Try the impressive Vietnamese crêpe---crispy fried rice that envelopes a mélange of ground pork, chicken, shrimp, scallions and sprouts. The fresh spring rolls are massive and arrive with two types of peanut sauce (traditional Thai and tangy tamarind). We recommend the red curry with tofu and the yakisoba with its ample seafood combination (calamari, shrimp and scallops), but our favorite is the cashew chicken. For dessert we like to pair Vietnamese iced coffee with a scoop of coconut ice cream.
