While this Greenpoint restaurant bills itself as Polish-American, do yourself a favor and stick to the first part of that binary definition. Yes, there are burgers and salads on the menu, but it’s all about the kielbasa and pierogies here. Of the latter, the Polish dumplings can be fried or steamed. Get both: one order of fried potato and cheese and another of steamed meat pierogies, which are executed just as your Polish grandmother would have done: plump, fresh and juicy. If you are still hungry, the kielbasa is thick and filling and the stuffed cabbage may take you back to that trip to Krakow. Wash it down with a bottle of Polish beer and toast to old Greenpoint.
