Chuck Preisch's storefront diner is short on ambience---the booths and stools are done in orange and black Naugahyde, the walls sport movie 'art'---but you can always get a seat quickly, and it's bright and sunny and clean. And servers (often sporting lots of body jewelry) are fast-on-their feet, friendly and flexible: if you want things 'your' way, all you gotta do is ask. The menu is short and simple---'cake and egg-centric platters served all day) good soups and chili, and burgs and sandwiches that come with awesome home fires and crisp slaw. The daily board over the cash register, is where you'll find variety, and where the cook has some fun: A daily special might be crisp-fried perch and juicy pork chops with two sides for under $6 each! Best dessert: a whipped cream and strawberry sauce-topped waffle.
