This Irish pub concept in the Crocker Park shopping complex succeeds in serving up an authentic enough pub experience without leaving culinary standards completely behind. Yes, portions are more than generous and you can’t escape the seemingly ubiquitous spinach-artichoke dip, but you’ll also find boxty, shepherd’s pie, fish ‘n’ chips and Irish stew on the extensive menu. Other finds include pasta, sandwiches, steaks and chops. Claddagh spares no expense on atmosphere: rich, dark, clubby wood bookshelves, serious stone fireplaces, plentiful plasma screens and comfortable chairs encourage diners to stay for one more Guinness or a serving of bread pudding with whiskey sauce.
