A remnant of a bygone era when it housed throngs of passengers coming in and out of town, this red brick railway station has a new purpose and identity. Many interior elements of the restored 1888 building have been preserved: intricate wood moldings, black leather banquettes, dark wood tables and booths, the tin ceiling, and glittering crystal chandeliers are all indicative of both the station's past and revitalized present. The New American cuisine follows a similar path, reinventing what is traditional with the addition of modern, eclectic touches. Appetizers include Wagyu beef empanadas with black bean salsa served with a Creole dipping sauce, and jumbo lump crab and grilled corn crumb cake. Entrées range from a pork chop with vinegar peppers and smoked Gouda-stuffed arancini to John Dory en papillote with truffled spätzle. The wine list offers a compendium of old-world and new-world selections to complement the menu. For dessert, share the balsamic strawberries zabaglione with pound cake biscuit, or carrot cake bread pudding enhanced by Frangelico crème anglaise.
