Connie's Pizza Restaurant Review:
Connie's is a popular competitor in the Chicago pizza race; its countless trucks are out delivering pies (plus appetizers, soups, salads, sandwiches, pasta and chicken) from the city to suburbs north, south and west. One of the original outposts, this South Archer Avenue spot still looks like a rehabilitated old warehouse, but that's part of its charm. Pies come in a variety of styles: middleweight (a little thicker crust), deep-dish, stuffed and, on request, thin-crust. Specialty versions like barbecue chicken and Italian beef and giardiniera are alternatives. There are numerous area locations, including McCormick Place and Navy Pier.
