L.A. import Coolhaus is an arty ice cream sandwich truck with a simple concept: pick your cookie --- chocolate, chocolate chip, snickerdoodle, etc. --- and choose an ice cream to pack inside. But then the choices of tantalizing flavors numb your mind almost as easily as the ice cream numbs your mouth. Go traditional? There's Tahitian vanilla bean and strawberries & cream. A little more gourmet? Try sea salt caramel or mascarpone with balsamic fig. Totally weird? You’ve gotta choose between brown butter with candied bacon (arguably a good one for breakfast) or pistachio with black truffles.
