Cow & Clover Restaurant Review

: The altar of this spacious restaurant near the Williamsburg waterfront is a twin brick oven and Cow & Clover uses it to maximum capacity. Industrial chic décor creates an appropriate ambience for this part of town and to enjoy salt cod croquettes, wood-fired delicata squash littered with dandelion leaves and grapefruit, and very good piri piri chicken. Among the desserts on a brief list, we like the Calvados panna cotta and the popcorn ice cream that is worthy of a second order. There’s a handful of local craft beers on tap and the cocktails include the signature Williamsburg, which is a lot like a Manhattan but made with Cynar, an Italian bitter, in the mix.
