A glass case in the front of the restaurant displays baked goods like croissants, brioche, tarts and éclairs. The wedding and special event cakes by special order, covered in fondant or buttercream, are still the most prestigious in town. Grab a seat and take in the Duval Street action over a quick pastry-and-coffee breakfast, or head into the quiet garden dining room out back for a leisurely lunch. The breads are baked daily, forming the basis for sandwiches such as curry chicken with almonds and raisins and the hot roast beef baguette. For breakfast, try brioche with poached eggs in mustard sauce or cinnamon brioche french toast. Platters of small bites are also available: spinach and feta puffs, empanadas, conch fritters, crab balls, mushroom tartlets and mini quiche.
