This flagship of Brooklyn-based restaurateur Michael Ayoub is still his best. The modern dining rooms are decorated in Italianate earth tones and decorated with dried flowers and baskets. The menu is Northern Italian and always reliably good and well presented. The ever-changing assortments of antipasti are fresh and flavorful, and dishes like osso buco, three-cheese ravioli and daily fish specials will not disappoint. Ayoub was convinced that Brooklyn could be a dining destination for Manhattanites, and we hope now that the Brooklyn restaurant renaissance is in full swing diners will continue to visit the lovely cucina that helped start it all.
