THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Cucina Viansa Restaurant Review:

Several years ago, Vicki and Sam Sebastiani, of the Sonoma winemaking family, established the Viansa Winery and Italian Marketplace in the Carneros region. So it was natural to do a branch in the town of Sonoma, right on the historic square. With its extensive deli case it’s just as easy to order and pick up for a classy, and easy, picnic, as it is to eat at the restaurant. Simple but tasty sandwiches, salads and a pasta menu don't relegate themselves to Italian cuisine only. Purely American taste buds can find a turkey sandwich or a roasted pork loin to calm a palate that may have been overextended by a few days of wine tasting. Tables line three sides of the deli and central kitchen, belying the large room and making each section seem more intimate. Black and white tiles on the floor and big Italian posters add to the already fun and energized atmosphere. While the restaurant is only open until 6 p.m. during the week, on Friday and Saturday nights a live band is on hand to give a lively beat to the dinner festivities.
