THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED The Curious Palate Restaurant Review:

Co-owners Elliot Rubin and Mark Cannon have created a welcoming Mar Vista café where high-end products are incorporated into familiar comfort foods with eclectic influences. Sandwiches reflect a global inspiration, from a panini with La Quercia prosciutto to a wasabi shrimp wrap with Japanese pickles to a Cuban sandwich made with Berkshire pork, Fra’ Mani ham and Gruyère cheese. Artisan vinegars, pastas and charcuterie are offered from the larder, and all dishes are created with organic local ingredients wherever possible. A daily changing dinner menu might include meatloaf, roasted chicken or lamb lasagna, and a multi-cheese mac ‘n' cheese that’s not to be missed. The cuisine is popular for take-home, but you can comfortably consume onsite at a handful of tables handcrafted from reclaimed Douglas fir rafters. The owners and staff are religious about eco-friendly practices.
