: A great value, the “rijsttafels” (rice tables) of dozens of small Indonesian dishes make a fun meal whether it’s business or family dining. Dutch colonial interests in Indonesia mean the two cuisines have commingled to produce nasi (with rice) and bami (with noodles) goring that may not be quite as spicy as in its native Indonesia, but the crispy prawn crackers, sneaky sambals, pickles and curries redolent of coconut are hard to dislike. Even the gastronomically timid will appreciate the array of satays with unintimidatingly spiced peanut sauce. An overhaul to the restaurant’s interior has made it more spacious and pleasantly lit. |
