DiMillo's on the Water Restaurant Review

: Step inside DiMillo’s, and when the view of the marina outside the windows starts to sway, fear not. It’s not the earth moving; you’re actually aboard a floating restaurant. While the boat never leaves port, with its marina-and-harbor-side location, you can be assured just about every seat in this restaurant offers a water view. With multiple floors and two outside decks, there’s not a bad seat in the house. Supposedly, more lobster is served here than at any other restaurant in Portland, which means the lobsters and seafood are plentiful and fresh. For seafood lovers, this is nirvana. Choose your lobster cooked any way you wish: broiled, deep fried or lazy (the kitchen does the shelling for you), and 1-, 1.5- or 2-pound sizes (or try twin lobsters if you’re really hungry). Big Claw --- a California white blend --- is the perfect pairing. You’ll find clams, scallops, haddock, mixed seafood broils and fisherman’s platters, too. Not a seafood lover? Try the roast beef au jus, and with the restaurant's Italian roots, you can be sure Italian options are just like Mama’s. Lobster mac ‘n’ cheese is a marriage we like: cheesy and filled with fresh lobster meat. Gluten free? There’s a menu of options, along with a notable kids’ menu as well. Don’t be surprised if a DiMillo family member stops by to greet you. And don’t forget two things on the way out: butter mints and a stamp for your parking ticket.
