Take just a few steps into Dino’s Tomato Pie and you'll experience the full effect of Brandon Pettit's re-creation of the New Jersey pizza joints of his childhood. It’s styled with the same fervent obsession with detail that he applied to his pizzas at Delancey, and he nails every aspect with accuracy, wit and, of course, by making the best pie in the city. He uses the oven here to make it even better, offering square as well as round options for eager pizza fans. A full bar and cocktails --- Long Island iced tea and the like --- are on tap. Desserts are simple baked goods, such as brownies or blondies, but the best decision is probably to order more of the addictive garlic knots.
