Doherty's Ale House
Doherty's has more beer than you could ever drink, with sturdy regional comfort food to match.
Doherty's Ale House Restaurant Review:
Like the original on East Avenue in Pawtucket, the Warwick Doherty's has a massive and varied draft beer selection with 123 types of suds on tap. The food menu, likewise, is a broadly geographic tour of regional bar-food favorites, from Chicago's beef on weck to a New Orleans-style muffaletta. Would even a vegetarian eat a Brussels sprouts sandwich? We're not sure. In any event, the kitchen puts out reasonably generous appetizers, salads and sandwiches designed to complement the sensory delight of quaffing a local Revival Rocky Point Red Ale, sipping a Chimay Première Red Dubbel or lingering over a pint of Ravenous Coffee Milk Stout. Dinner entrées are similarly hearty --- wursts, prime rib, chicken and gravy, jambalaya. On Saturday and Sunday mornings, Doherty's brunch menu includes an egg sandwich topped with Philly cheesesteak.
