In the heart of Larkspur is the sister restaurant to Don Antonio Trattoria’s Tiburon location. The interior is roomy and charming and the outdoor patio is a fine place to dine or enjoy a glass of wine. The menu has a sumptuous list of pastas, some made in-house, like vongole and bolognese. Classics such as calamari steak, veal piccata and eggplant Parmigiana are cooked with a skilled hand. Appetizers include a burrata platter with prosciutto and arancini; a nice selection of fresh salads balance out the offerings. Desserts are a high point: flourless chocolate cake with salted caramel and panna cotta with seasonal fruit. A good wine list and happy hour Tuesday through Saturday make Don Antonio Larkspur a good spot for an apéritif. Service pays attention to every detail but isn’t oppressive.
