THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Don Chuy Restaurant Review:

Originally a grocery store run by Don Chuy’s parents circa 1932, this Eden Gardens' restaurant is filled with history and family recipes. Among the specialties are such hard-to-find dishes as the hearty scramble of eggs, nopales (cactus) and chorizo. The carnitas are good, as are such house creations as the "el bronco," a hearty serving of beans, cheese, spicy sauce and an entire chile relleno wrapped in a flour tortilla. The chile verde con puerco --- tender chunks of pork cooked in spicy green tomatillo chile sauce --- is another favorite. Don’t skip the house-made flan or the cinnamon churros with apple filling and a syrup glaze for dessert.
