When you need a classic Cuban cuisine fix, Don Pepe's is one of Central Florida's finest. Step inside for a warm welcome and the strains of a flamenco guitar. The daily lunch specials pack the place, with hungry workers waiting for a stacked Cuban sandwich or a simple bowl of black beans and rice. At dinnertime, the extensive menu features beef, chicken, pork and seafood. Or you can make a meal of the “little Latin bites,” such as Cuba Rican nachos; a plate with Spanish cured ham and manchego cheese; and grilled shrimp with pineapple. Entrées range from several seafood stew dishes to the house specialty, roasted pork in a garlicky mojo sauce. You may have to loosen your belt before you order the silky flan, a treat you shouldn't miss. The three-generation family-owned restaurant features the largest selection of Spanish wines in Central Florida.
