This boutique and tea house offers an escape from the everyday hustle and bustle. While the shop contains decorative items and furnishings in antiquated, Victorian and bohemian styles, the café is ideal for a pre-, in-between or post-shopping break. Formal afternoon tea presents all the trimmings: scones, clotted cream, finger sandwiches and the like and an array of teas steeped in ceramic pots. Lapsang souchong, a fragrant black tea with toasted flavors, or a mango black tea with mango slices are just two of the many options. Herbal varieties are also on hand, as are many coffee drinks. Breakfast choices include cream tea, consisting of two scones with clotted cream, jam and a pot of tea, and à la carte selections. Healthy morning options like hot flaxseed granola served with steamed milk and topped with mixed berries are available. Lunch brings an array of salads, finger sandwiches and desserts.
