THIS ESTABLISHMENT IS CLOSED The special character of Carolina-style barbecue requires it be served as a chopped-pork sandwich with coleslaw on top. Furthermore, in North Carolina, hushpuppies, which in Georgia are only served with fish, are a standard accompaniment. In Atlanta the best-known purveyor of this style of barbecue is Dusty's, where you get a superior chopped-pork sandwich and a sizzlin' hot barbecue sauce is an option for those who live dangerously. North Carolina barbecue traditionally doesn't include ribs, but these guys do baby-backs, nor does it include barbecued chicken, but the version at Dusty’s is tender and flavorful. The side dishes are pretty good, such as the Brunswick stew and baked beans. No alcohol is served. The entire restaurant is non-smoking.
