The Eagle Restaurant Review:

You might be interested in the secret brine and breading of The Eagle OTR’s finger-licking fried chicken. Or maybe the house-spiced hot honey will get you kicking. But all you really need to know about at this hipster spot in Cincinnati's hopping Over-the-Rhine neighborhood is that the best thing to order is slightly off the menu. Get the kale salad, but ask for it topped with a fried chicken breast. It’s made with delicate Tuscan kale sliced into thin ribbons and tossed with a sweet-and-sour cider vinaigrette, along with apple slices, bourbon-soaked raisins, cornbread croutons and sharp cheddar. Other good stuff on the menu includes Southern sides like family-style portions of five-cheese mac ‘n’ cheese or a crock of marshmallow-topped sweet potatoes. You can even get your taste buds jumping with brown-sugar bacon that comes with a hit of cayenne. Choose from an extensive craft beer selection and even gluten-free beers. There are no desserts. Since it's a popular joint that doesn't take reservations, you may be seated at a communal table, so get cozy.
