Ecliptic Brewing Restaurant Review

: For more than two decades, John Harris played an important role in Oregon's beer scene with Deschutes Brewery and Full Sail Brewing Company. His first solo venture, Ecliptic Brewing, reflects his dual passions of brewing and astronomy. The beers are named accordingly: Spica Pilsner, Pollux Imperial IPA, Capella Porter, etc. Start off with a selection of Northwest cheeses and Portland salami, or American classics with a twist, such as deviled eggs with boquerones (anchovies). Heartier plates include a burger topped with pancetta, red onion, aged Gruyère and Russian dressing, as well as seasonal offerings like braised brisket with whipped yukon potato, red wine and kohlrabi-horseradish gremolata. For dessert, there’s house-made ice cream.
