THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Edward's at The Kanaloa Restaurant Review:
At the ocean's edge (in fact during rare, high-surf conditions, at the seaward tables, you can almost feel the foaming waves), Edward's at The Kanaloa offers a Hawaii Visitors & Convention Bureau poster of dinner in paradise. Swaying palm trees, setting sun and the gentle sea---even if they didn't serve fine meals this would be a great place. Fortunately, the meals do not betray the setting. Edward's offers an alternative to the trendy Hawaii Regional cuisine so prevalent elsewhere on the Big Island. Edward's has a blend of Mediterranean (southern Italian and French) with North African and Middle Eastern dishes. Beginning with the appetizers you know you're in for a different kind of experience. Pork tenderloin is a mainstay, cornish hen marinated and cooked in burgundy wine is a specialty, and filet mignon and lobster are always available. The delightful sweets change daily.
