El Camino Restaurant Review

: Floor-to-ceiling garage windows are opened seasonally to create an airy, summer patio, while during wet, winter months the enclosed space is given a cozy touch from the flickering fireplace. Visits from Mexican chefs periodically infuse the menu with contemporary flavors. Dishes may offer enchiladas in a complex mole sauce, pan-seared snapper in a caper sauce, and tacos with pulled pork simmered in spices and beer. Desserts range from a semisweet chocolate mousse with rum-soaked sponge cake to traditional flan. A full bar caters to all beverage desires.

GAYOT's Annual Restaurant Awards honor America's best chefs, as well as promising newcomers and a top restaurateur.
