El Club Allard Restaurant Review:

Housed in the Modernist, Federico Arias Rey-designed Casa Gallardo, which debuted in 1908, El Club Allard is a fitting backdrop to chef María Marte’s creative fusions and technical works. Three menus --- Rendezvous, Seduction, Revolution --- draw on Spain’s finest seasonal produce and feature quality fish and meat. Starters such as lobster salad with mango guacamole and pea ravioli kick off the processions, while mains of turbot with smoked arbequina, and roast suckling pig confit with stewed echalion shallots deliver depth and flavor in abundance. An interesting wine cellar offers an extensive selection of premium labels from Spain and France, as well as wines from farther afield. A sommelier is on hand to guide patrons and it is possible to order a wine tasting menu to accompany your meal. Save space for petits fours, chocolate rocks, fresh fruit panaché, and hibiscus flower-infused pisco sours.
