This is Mexican fare at its freshest and best. From the original location on Buford Highway, this little outfit has expanded to some ten metro locations. Some are called El Taco Prisa instead of El Taco Veloz, but it’s the same company, the same food and the same concept. Grilled or shredded beef, chicken or tongue nestle inside a couple of fresh-from-the-griddle corn tortillas. This is one of the larger locations, with seating for about 60 people and drive-through. It gets a mixed audience, too, from construction workers doing take-out to locals dining in. Add a splash of tomatillo salsa and pico de gallo, and you’ll be speaking in tongues. None serves alcohol.
