Valérie and Laurent Devin, she welcoming guests up front, he in the tiny kitchen, have created an irresistible little corner of France in a storefront prettily arranged with memorabilia and menus from their native country. There is room for just 30 guests, who surely feel they are being welcomed into the young couple’s home. Devin’s dishes include lunchtime quiches, croque monsieur and a wonderful pear salad with toasted pecans and blue cheese. In the evening, he offers coq au vin, roasted quail, rack of lamb with an herb crust and confit of duck. The cheese selection is direct from France. Devin’s interest in wine is evident on the small but well-chosen list and he enjoys helping guests choose a suitable bottle.
