THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Elements Contemporary Cuisine Restaurant Review:
As a downtown restaurant, Elements meets diverse needs with style, orchestrated by a solidly professional staff. Fresh, comfortable décor warms the space previously housing Palomino. The muted interior counterpoints a vibrant urban vista framed by a window wall. The lively lounge---a classy marble bar and a tempting bar food list---serves as a social magnet for after-work gatherings. Lunch can be snappy or relaxed, with interesting options: porchetta panini, lamb tartine, puttanesca pizza. The restaurant accommodates the pre-theater crowd, and dinner can be as simple or expansive as you want, with choices ranging from antipasti to a broad selection of fresh pasta, meat and fish. Chef-partner Justin Severino is committed to drawing from local producers, listing them on the menu, and most everything is house-made. Accomplished in charcuterie, he even cures meat in-house. Many dishes emerge from a wood-fired oven. Presentations are lovely. The creative hands of pastry chef Barbara Ferguson shape dessert.
