Eloise Nichols Grill & Liquors Restaurant Review

: Just down the road from the more pretentious River Oaks District is this eatery from the Adair family. The rustic exterior (industrial brick) gives way to a softer interior filled with blue banquettes, blond wood floors and classy hanging lights. Start with the Eloise Sour, an Amaretto sour with egg white and limoncello, while noshing on a plate of warm olives with rosemary and Kraftsmen Baking sourdough bread. As an entrée, go for the home-style chicken and dumplings. Try the big juicy burgers, too, and don’t miss the smoked salmon toast with avocado for brunch. The menu utilizes ingredients sourced from local producers and fishermen.
