THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Emilio's Tapas Sol y Nieve Restaurant Review:
The tapas come from Emilio Gervilla, who owns another like-minded place in suburban Hillside. Generally speaking, the dishes fare well. There's a comfortable dining room and a nice bar worth settling into for sangría. Most of the usual tapas suspects are available: ensalada rusa, jamon y queso, pan con tomate. Small or large portions are offered, the choice is yours, which means you can spend a little or a lot. We especially like the garlicky potato salad, tuna-filled cannelloni, calamari steak in pimento butter sauce and cracked pepper-crusted beef brochette with horseradish and sweet caramelized onions. The list of sherries is extensive, as is the selection of wines by the glass. An added bonus: this is a pleasantly quiet place for a weekend lunch.
