Ethos Restaurant Review:

A lively and colorful atmosphere dictates the mood at this Greek eatery in Murray Hill, where grill and other specialties are served nightly. Grainy walls of yellow ocher, exposed brick, and rustic trappings give the restaurant a warm and cozy feel. The authentically prepared menu consists of hot and cold appetizers, including a tender baby octopus, charcoal grilled and drizzled with red wine vinegar. On the cold side, the fresh stuffed grape leaves are a favorite. The star of the menu, however, remains the Ethos Arni --- braised baby lamb baked in a clay pot with tomato sauce, roasted potatoes, herbs and kefalograviera cheese. This style, called "pylina," holds in the hearty flavors of the stew. The wine list is international, and includes a few affordable Greek bottles.
