Stepping into Evan's Kitchen is like entering grandma's house. Beveled oak tables and dusty knickknacks make up the décor, while friendly service and an extensive menu make it a great choice for a family meal. Not surprisingly, dishes are predominantly American, with hefty portions and reasonable prices. Starters include bacon-wrapped scallops with chipotle cream, and lamb lollipops with Pinot Noir beurre rouge. Move on to cioppino-style seafood fettuccine, slow-roasted prime rib and chicken fried steak. Join the throngs of locals who indulge in brunch, especially on weekends, which offers more than a dozen Benedicts and omelets.
