A traditional Irish pub in an upscale space-with some authentic-looking Irish relics-Fado’s fare offers no surprises. But everything here is good and substantial. As you might expect, you can find corned beef and cabbage and Irish stew on the menu. Garlic steak with mushrooms and Irish whiskey sauce is a choice that’s a bit more innovative. Quite tasty are the four kinds of boxty, traditional potato pancakes stuffed with your choice of salmon, chicken, corned beef and cabbage or vegetables. Of course, beer, especially Guinness, flows freely. A small dessert selection includes cheesecake made with Bailey’s Irish Cream. You can hear traditional Irish music Sundays 6:30 to 9:30 pm. and other Irish groups Friday and Saturday nights.
