Fat Baby Tacos, Chicago, IL

Fat Baby Tacos Restaurant Review

: Inside, social media-worthy artwork (a graffiti, Chicago-inspired wall to the left, and an oversize “Mmmmmmm” to the right) livens up the space. A 12-seat, all-season patio showcases a plant-inspired mural by local artist Kasi Turpin. At $4 each, the chef-driven tacos and burritos come in five distinct styles with slow-roasted chicken and carnitas, char-broiled steak and shrimp, and vegetarian-friendly queso and veggies. Garnish them with the classic cilantro and onion or the sweet pico with mango, onions and peppers. Noticeably fresh are the fluffy tortillas, all made in-house. Find refreshment in both the alcoholic and non-alcoholic variety. Three draft cocktails --- the Vida Paloma, Sangria and Margarita --- are served from the tap. Or try the house-made aguas frescas and vegan Coconut Horchata or the Chocolate City Cold Brew.
