Ferdinando's has been serving authentic Sicilian dishes for more than a century. Try the baseball-size arancini (rice balls filled with chopped meat, peas and sauce, rolled in breadcrumbs and deep-fried); the spleen sandwich isn't for everyone (Sicilian cuisine purists may be turned off by the cheese on top of the meat, something you'd never find in Sicily); linguine with clams with either red or white sauce; grilled chicken in a light vinaigrette; or tender eggplant "Sicilian style" with salad and croquettes. It feels like 1904 when you enter, and the food tastes just like mama used to make.
