Go Fish Seafood Emporium Restaurant Review:
Line-ups are the norm at this popular seafood shack on False Creek’s Fishermen’s Wharf. It's worth the wait, so settle in and enjoy people-watching along with all the action around the moored fishing boats. The menu is short and sweet and the ever-congenial staff work to feed the hungry hordes. The top draw is Granville Island beer-battered fish ‘n’ chips (choose cod, halibut or salmon), but oyster po’ boys; a char-grilled rare albacore tuna sandwich with sweet chili ponzu glaze, tomato “snake bite” salsa and wasabi mayo; and tasty grilled salmon “tacones," all served with zesty Pacific Rim coleslaw, have devoted followings. Those in the know keep an eye on the specials board for the hot-and-sour coconut Thai fish chowder, and other globally inspired seafood soups, and the salmon salad. Coveted picnic table seats go fast, but you can always grab a meal to go or find a spot to perch along the seawall and take in the view of fish boats, bridges, city towers and mountains.
