THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Five Spice Cafe Restaurant Review:
Take a moment to breathe in the atmosphere. It is lovely and functionally-designed to provide each table with privacy. Even the patio tables overlooking the parking lot of this upscale shopping strip offer a touch of class. The artfully presented dishes are as pleasing to the eye as the surroundings and most satisfying to the palate. Be forewarned though: Portions, although gorgeous, are small with some dishes offering the palate only a few mouthfuls. The trick is to order two to three courses and not plan on sharing. You won't leave hungry although your wallet will be lighter. The homemade dumplings are superb whether stuffed with chicken, beef, shrimp or vegetable, our favorite. The noodle dishes, especially the stir-fry of scallops, mussels and prawns with vegetables, are excellent. Going for even more seafood, we can't get enough of the grilled sesame crusted red snapper, especially when we accompany it with an unusual and excellent salad of poached spinach in sesame butter.
