Flatbread Company Restaurant Review:
The restaurant utilizes local foods and supports organic farming, and much of the décor conveys its philosophy of connecting food, spirit and nature. We like the creative menu of salads and primitive wood-fired clay oven flatbreads. The “Punctuated Equilibrium,” with imported kalamata olives, fresh organic rosemary, organic red onions, Surfing Goat Dairy goat cheese and fire-roasted sweet red peppers, and “Mopsy’s Kalua Pork,” with homemade organic mango barbecue sauce and local pineapple, are major crowd-pleasers. The dining room is fairly large and bustling, with an open-air patio and private room upstairs. Parking can be challenging in Paia but these pies are worth the trouble.
