Although the lines can be intimidating, do visit Flint's Bar-B-Q, an Oakland institution that serves up some of the best brisket, ribs, chicken and hot links this side of Austin. The food at Flint's is how barbecue was meant to be delivered---honestly and without pretension. The hot sauce is truly hot, the beef is smoky and tender, and the portions are hearty.
