An exciting contender for best modern Italian cuisine in the capital. There's a beautiful, contemporary, taupe-and-chocolate dining room boasting particularly glittering lighting, luxurious seating and some gorgeous art. An exquisite raw and cooked artichoke with broad beans and pecorino salad may be followed by the freshest grilled mixed fish. Wild sea bass is perfumed with shavings of white truffle and daringly partnered with a red wine and herb jus. Desserts are equally well-conceived, particularly fruit brochette with lavender sorbet. Service is smooth, suave and professional. Wines, mainly Italian and French classics, like the menu are priced to suit those who are not cost-conscious. An extremely elegant address where attention to detail really matters and the clientele dress to impress. Set 2 course lunch £15, 3 courses £19.
