New Haven-based Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana at The Mall at Chestnut Hill offers up pies in every variety imaginable, cooked in a massive coal-fired oven that is the focal point of the restaurant. Specialty pizzas include the famed white clam; spinach, mushroom and Gorgonzola; original tomato; and the quattro formaggi made with Italian tomatoes, Asiago, mozzarella, pecorino and goat cheese on a thin crust. You can also create your own signature pizza, perhaps including chicken, broccoli and garlic. Get started with a classic Pepe's salad filled with fresh greens, grape tomatoes, chunks of cucumber and kalamata olives or a Caesar salad topped with croutons and Romano cheese. The no-frills parlor serves a handful of beers on tap and wines by the glass and bottle.
