This beloved little neighborhood deli and restaurant attracts folks from the surrounding hillsides for big sandwiches like a Philly cheesesteak, Buffalo chicken with Danish blue cheese, or the specialty "Dagwood" made with turkey, ham, roast beef, mortadella, salami, corned beef and pastrami, plus cheddar, Swiss and mayo. The large and varied menu also includes salads, chili, quiches and other low-key fare. Dinner means anything from meatloaf to chicken potpie to a rich mac ‘n’ cheese with ham steak. Desserts and pastries are made on site, with 25 flavors of Dr. Bob’s hand-crafted ice cream available. A lot of Frank’s business is take-out and catering, but a homey dining room with flower-topped tables awaits customers looking to settle in for a stretch.
