THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Fredo's Phillys Restaurant Review:

Pasadena may not be South Philly and Fredo’s may not be Geno’s, but for any lover of cheesesteaks, this modest storefront operation is a delightful discovery. The meat is chopped relatively fine and then grilled with bell peppers and onions. It's all loaded into a 12-inch roll flown in from Philadelphia’s Amoroso Bakery. White American or provolone cheese is usually added, but for true Philly aficionados, Cheez Whiz is applied to more closely reflect the recipe at Geno’s, the landmark cheesesteak stand in the City of Brotherly Love. Also available are burgers, dogs, pastrami subs and teriyaki, as well as a lighter chicken cheesesteak. Pair it up with a Hank’s black cherry soda, another Pennsylvania favorite.
