THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED The French Quarter Buffet Restaurant Review:
The décor is a reimagining of New Orleans’ French Quarter with wrought iron balconies and fanciful building façades, but the flavors of the food are the real deal. Fried chicken is fresh from the pan, crisp and tender, collards are spiked with cubes of pork, homemade barbecue beans really taste homemade, sweet potatoes abound and the mac ‘n’ cheese oozes with creamy goodness. There’s something for everybody, even hot dogs and hamburgers with all the toppings. “Mama’s Cucina” has pizzeria-grade pies that are constantly refreshed, pastas and meatballs. The raw bar sports shrimp, mussels and crab salad. Asian dishes have the breath of the wok, and salads and vegetable side dishes beckon. Dessert selections are extensive and while the coffee is fine, treat yourself to cappuccino from a machine you can operate yourself. It’s a lively, popular place manned by competent and friendly staff. Lunch & Dinner Mon.-Thurs. $31.99 ($29.99 for casino card holders); Sun. $35.99 ($32.99 for casino card holders). Dinner Fri. $35.99 ($32.99 for casino card holders). Lunch & Dinner seasonal Sat. all-you-can-eat crab legs and filet $37.99 ($35.99 for casino card holders). Children 4-10 half price.
