Fresh Off the Boat is a hole-in-the-wall seafood joint, best described as a fish and chip shop with Asian-inspired flavors. It showcases a small dining room with nautical décor. Primarily a takeout restaurant, this place has minimal seating; two communal tables line one side of the space, and there’s a counter along the other. The soft shell crab sandwich features an entire crab fried with a spicy batter and tucked into a soft bun. The FOB is the signature sandwich, which is a fusion of the Vietnamese banh mi and New Orleans po’ boy; it contains fried catfish, kimchi and chili aïoli. Healthier grilled fish and salad options are also available.
