Full Moon Bar-B-Que Restaurant Review

: The simple wood paneled walls are covered with dozens of photos and framed clippings attesting to the quality of the ’cue. It's the classic no-frills look you'll find in most barbecue joints. When the craving hits for juicy, smoke-rich meat, you'll find it at this local chain. At Full Moon, the zing in the sauce and the crunchy, tangy chow-chow enhance the experience, whether it’s adorning the pork or the poultry. Ribs in either sandwiches or plates are tender and tasty. Hickory-smoked turkey offers a change of pace. Meats can top Caesar or Greek salads. For sides, we like the coleslaw, which is dressed in vinaigrette, crunchy onion rings and baked beans or mac ‘n' cheese. Try the fried green tomatoes, best when eaten hot. Half-moon cookies, dipped in chocolate, are a special treat. Munch on one or buy a six-pack. Desserts made in-house include the carrot cake, studded with nuts and slathered with cream cheese icing. A limited beer selection is available. This location closes at 5:30 p.m.
