Greg Case earned a citywide reputation as---to this day---the most memorable pastry chef to have worked at Hamersley’s Bistro. During Case’s stint there, Bostonians got hooked on desserts that managed to be honest and simple in spite of the upscale surroundings. Now, after a few years on the freelance baking trail supplying the likes of Toscanini’s and Peet’s Coffee (where his cookies and brownies continue to hit high on the yum scale), Case has opened his own retail space. Just a few minutes’ drive from Davis Square, one can now get sophistication, home-style, and worldliness in one bakery box.
