THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Galleria Italiana Restaurant Review:

Abruzzi natives/owners Rita D’Angelo and Marisa Iocco (also of La Bettola) are mainstays on the Boston scene. This trattoria in the Theater District was their first restaurant. It used to be one of the city’s best upscale Italians, but today it offers a Caféteria-style buffet from lunch through early evening. Everyone, from down-the-block Emerson students and off-duty chefs, to construction workers and bond salesmen on break, come by for what may be the city’s best meal deal. Under $10 buys an assortment of daily pastas, entrees, and panini including, say, linguine with shrimp and arugula and a to-die-for chicken parm. All that and a seat in a dark and artsy dining room---if you’re lucky enough to find an empty one. If not, the Boston Common is right across the street.
