The food is both creative and reassuringly familiar at Amara Creekside Resort's restaurant. For breakfast, there’s the usual fare such as homemade granola with mixed berries and honey yogurt, or more imaginative offerings like the Oak Creek Benedict---blue corn pancakes topped with crab, grilled chayote, poached eggs and tomato-chipotle hollandaise. Granny Smith apples, Gruyère, Pinot syrup and fresh blackberries top off the turkey sandwich at lunch, or try one of the inventive fresh salads that are as pleasing to the eye as they are to the palate. Come dinner, you'll find Thai salmon tournedos or cranberry-blue cheese-crusted beef tenderloin on the menu, and each entrée is listed with a recommended wine selection. Executive chef Alan McClean’s beautiful presentations live up to the surroundings, with sophisticated fine art displayed on the walls and stunning red-rock views in both indoor and outdoor dining areas.
